Childrens Party Games

So it’s your young Childrens birthday party and he/she wants a party which you have agreed to and he wants jelly and ice cream but you are stuck for childrens party ideas. He/she wants a childrens entertainers but what will you do to fill the time before and after the kids entertainers have gone? We have got toegether what we believe is a great list of childrens party ideas, read on.

Well there are a few ideas that we have compiled that might make your kids big day even better if implemented right. Here’s a list of things we think you can do to entertain the children:

Childrens Party Games

There are a number of games that work very well for young children and have done for many years; you have more than likely played them once before when you were young and at a party.

The first one we will mention is Musical Chairs, an oldie but a goodie! For anyone that doesn’t no how to play this we will roughly outline the method of the game. Lets say there are 10 kids playing, you leave out 9 chairs and start the music and tell the children to walk round the chairs in a circle, single file until the music gets stopped, once stopped they have to get sat down on a chair, the person how is left standing is out and one chair is removed, this is continued until there is only 1 chair left with 2 children and the one who gets the chair is the winner.

Next we have Pass the Parcel. A present wrapped many times in wrapping paper is passed around a circle of sitting children whilst music is played, when the music stops the kid with the parcel is allowed to open 1 layer of wrapping paper (it is good to leave little treats such as sweets or mini action men/women in with some of the layers so everyone has a chance to win instead of just one person). The kid that gets to the last wrapper and opens it will get the prize underneath.

Another great kids party game is Musical Statues that is similar to others mentioned in the sense that it involves music and having to stop it. Music is played and the children all have to dance around, when the music stops everyone has to be dead still! If anyone is caught moving in any shape of form whether it be laughing, shaking, blinking or any other type of movement they are out! The last person standing after all have been caught out wins.

The last game in this section is Make a Mummy which is really entertaining but messy! Teams are made up of three kids, one as the ‘mummy’ and the other two are the wrappers. Each team is given a few rolls of toilet paper and told to cover the ‘mummy’ with it. Each team is given 2 minutes to make their ‘mummy’ look as close to an Egyptian mummy as they can, the team to get it as close to a really mummy as possible wins.

I hope we have given you some good tips on how to make your kids party more enjoyable, we will be adding more games as and when we come up or learn of more. I you have any thoughts on other kids party games then please let us know and we will add them to the site.
