Healthy Children's Party Food
For your young visitors, proper nutrition may not be a very big concern. After all, children's party is all about entertainment and great food treats. However, you would not want to see these little fellows consuming more sugar than their bodies need. With a little magic in the kitchen, you may still provide compelling and delectable munches for the children without sacrificing proper nutrition.
When deciding what food to prepare, consider recipes that make use of healthful food products such as vegetables, yoghurt, and fruits as their basic elements. Take note that when it comes to preparing food for the children, it is the preparation and the taste that matters most, so make sure that you make use of your ingredients well.
A perfect example of a vegetable snack that you can serve is called "Ants on Log." To prepare, you will have to use fresh celery. Cut each into four-inch sticks then dry the sticks by laying them on a paper towel. After this, simply spread peanut butter unto each stick. Add three raisin toppings on the peanut butter, and your Ants on Log are now ready to serve.
You may also experiment on fruit and yoghurt sundaes. Mix different fruits with yoghurt to come up with a variety of flavours for the children to enjoy. This will serve as great alternative for the high-sugar-content ice cream products available in the commercial market.
To make your party menu more nutritionally balanced, you may also prepare food with cheese such as cheese tortillas and pizza.
